What is Decentraland?

Decentraland is a decentralized virtual world owned by the Decentraland community, kind of like Second Life – but decentralized.

Assets like land, wearables (clothes your avatar wears) and art are all NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) players can own in their Ethereum wallets, meaning every citizen of Decentraland can be a digital property developer or clothing merchant!

You can choose to buy and sell your NFTs on the Decentraland Marketplace, or other sites like Opensea.

How do I collect the Kraken wearables in Decentraland?You will need to create a Decentraland account using Metamask and have some ETH in your wallet to be used as Gas to be able to process the claim of the wearable NFT into your Ethereum address.

You will need to access Decentraland via a PC or Mac running a Chrome or Firefox browser (no mobile device access is available at this stage).You can learn more about getting started in Decentraland here under “What do I need to play?”If you don’t have a Metamask account, you can learn how to set one up here.

Do I need MANA?

MANA is the token that powers the Decentraland ecosystem however you do not need it to attend the XMAS Party.
